Manchester City fans are still depressed from their Champions League exit here in the Football Transfer Tavern but this viral image has certainly amused a fair few of the Liverpool fans in the tavern.
Manchester City were handed a life line when Sergio Aguero stepped up to take a penalty – yet their hopes were dashed when Andre ter Stegen managed to save it – and we think there was a reason for that!
Former Liverpool player and Argentina teammate Javier Mascherano pointed right in the direction of the penalty and after seeing the weak effort from Aguero and the dive – in the correct direction from the Barcelona goalkeeper – we could understand why Mascherano could well be set for a spell eating by himself in the canteen come the next Argentina meet up!
