Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that their elimination from the FA Cup this week is not a sign of things to come.
Indeed, after going out to Chelsea last night they now have a game against Rostov in the Europa League and so they’ll be very keen to ensure that another defeat does not occur.
It’s been a tough season for United, even though they are in good form in the league, and the fact that they are still in 6th place in the top flight has not been lost on many people.
Indeed, it’s been the source of many a joke both here by the bar and in the wider footballing landscape and, unfortunately for them, today marks their 100th day in the position – as per Sporf on Twitter:
