The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking very sombre today…
The Red Devils have struggled in the Premier League this season – with Jose Mourinho’s men faltering in 8th place at present.
But – the Europa League is easy, right? Man Utd won’t have a problem boosting their confidence with a big win in a ‘second-rate’ competition…right?
Well, evidently not – as Man Utd’s Europa League form is arguably worse than their form in the league. In fact – their away Europa League form has been their worst in any European competition – ever.
As per Squawka on Twitter, Man Utd have now lost 5 consecutive away European games – and that is the first time that has ever happened.
What’s more, in those last 5 games they have managed to bag just 3 goals, whilst they have conceded 9.

Jose Mourinho is definitely facing a tough challenge to push this Man Utd side back to the top.
Our landlord is starting to doubt whether Mourinho is the man to push this boat forward – and an increasingly vocal set of the Man Utd fans in the Tavern are calling for his departure.
