After an electric start to life in the Premier League, the Football Transfer Tavern was unanimous: everyone was expecting Pep Guardiola to lead his Man City side to the title with ease.
However, over the last few weeks – everything has come crashing down for the Citizens.
Defeat at Tottenham was a warning sign for Pep Guardiola – and it is seemingly a warning that he has failed to heed.
Now, for the first time in his career – Guardiola finds himself in trouble; and according to Opta – it is his worst run of form since 2009.
As per OptaJoe on Twitter – this is the first time that Pep Guardiola has been winless in 5 games since 2009.

Wow! After such a good start – where has it all gone wrong for Pep Guardiola?
Our landlord has been quick to not jump to conclusions and has noted that the Sky Blues are still top of the table. Granted, their poor form has brought questions over the legitimacy of Guardiola’s title charge – but they will no doubt still be considered favourites.
The poor run of form is certainly a cause of concern for our Man City punters, though.
