Romelu Lukaku’s goal scoring record has been well documented in recent years – but the jury is still out on the young Belgian here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The Chelsea fans in the Tavern have claimed that he is too inconsistent, whilst rival fans have suggested that the Blues are just bitter that they sold him too early.
Whilst his game is not even close to complete, to argue that Lukaku is not a top level striker would be foolish – and these stats prove it…

Absolutely unbelievable.
Perhaps the most notable example in there is Cristiano Ronaldo, whom at this point in his career had scored 11 goals less than the Belgian forward.
If you’re looking at direct competitors then look no further than Zlatan Ibrahimovic; who had scored a whopping 56 goals less than Lukaku.
