‘It is a fantastic move for him’ – City fans pleased with reports surrounding wonderkid

The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted to see a story in The Sun today that claims the club are considering loaning out their young Spanish attacking midfielder, Brahim Diaz to West Ham. The deal looks to suit all parties, with Diaz being a potential Manuel Lanzini replacement for the first portion of the season, whilst City can’t guarantee the youngster game time.

Diaz is very highly thought of by his manager, Pep Guardiola, but it would be no surprise to see the Spanish U21 international sent out on-loan as the club can’t guarantee that he’ll be given the game time that he needs to develop at The Etihad with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva just two of the options currently occupying the Sky Blues offensive options in midfield. West Ham looks like being a perfect fit for the young prodigy.

The jewel in the Hammers’ crown, Manuel Lanzini, recently ruptured his cruciate ligament and will be out for the entire season, as well as missing the World Cup with Argentina. The stars’ absence this season opens up a spot that Manuel Pellegrini needs to fill, and he could be raiding his ex-club to do that. Brahim Diaz could be a massive hit at the London Stadium next season and if he makes steps in fulfiling his potential then the Citizens can call it a success too.

As you can see, the Man City fans in the Tavern would be more than pleased to see their 18-year-old wonderkid given a chance at another Premier League outfit and West Ham could provide that.
