Manchester United are beginning to find their feet this season, much to the delight of their fans here in the Transfer Tavern.
After a pretty sluggish few weeks that saw the club attack well but let things slip at the back and end up drawing they finally won in the Premier League again last weekend as they beat Tottenham 1-0.
It was a performance that suggested that their title hopes, although slim, aren’t gone just yet whilst it also highlighted the squad’s continued adaptation to Jose Mourinho’s tactics were beginning to pay dividends.
Certainly, many of the club’s stars are now well aware of what is expected of them under the Portuguese boss whilst others seem completely surplus to requirements ahead of the January window.
Our landlord definitely thinks that is the case, too, and reckons these two United players should be out on their ears before too long…
Morgan Schneiderlin

The Frenchman is actually a very good midfielder but things just have not worked for him at Old Trafford.
Whilst he began as fairly regular a starter under Louis Van Gaal things began to fizzle out and under Mourinho there now seems little chance for him to play for the club again. He’d be a decent asset, though, for many Premier League sides and so our landlord thinks he’ll find himself playing in another team in pretty sharp fashion.
Memphis Depay

Another player for whom it just has not worked out for at Manchester United.
Signed from The Netherlands as the next big Dutch prospect, Depay quickly found himself struggling for both performances and then confidence. He soon ended up on the fringes and that is how it has stayed under Mourinho. There’s talent there, of course, but he’s going to have to move to prove it to the many that doubt him.
