Man Utd man: This is what we have to do if we want to beat Stoke City this weekend

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are really enjoying the current season…

The Red Devils have started the campaign fantastically, and that has left supporters feeling supremely confident.

Indeed, in the Transfer Tavern, Man Utd have quickly emerged as the frontrunners for the Premier League title, with Jose Mourinho’s side currently the only team with a 100% record.

Despite the results, it appears as though the Man Utd players are keeping themselves very well grounded, and Marcus Rashford has been quick to put cold water on claims that it’s been easy for the club this term.

Speaking to MUTV (via the official Man Utd website), Rashford said: “Every game has been tough in its own right. A lot of the goals we’ve scored have been late in the game, and they’ve come from sticking to what we believe in”.

He also discussed their upcoming game with Stoke City, and noted that a win will only be found on one condition: “We’ve got to go to Stoke with the right attitude and mentality to make sure we get the three points”.

In essence, Rashford is saying that the players can’t play the Potters and expect to win. They’ve had a great season, but they aren’t getting carried away – and Rashford clearly recognises the challenges that await them.

Stoke City have enjoyed a mixed start the season, having picked up a loss, win and a draw so far this term.

Landlord’s Verdict

Man Utd have definitely improved since last season, that’s without a doubt. However, they are far from the complete team that they once were under Sir Alex Ferguson – meaning that there is a lot of work still to be done.

Rashford clearly recognises that, and he knows that they can’t get too comfortable despite currently leading the Premier League title race.

The hard work is still to come, but if their mentality remains right, Man Utd will be in a very good spot.
