With the Gunners impressing in the Premier League at present, the majority of the Arsenal faithful in the Transfer Tavern were expecting an easy win on the night – but it was anything but.
Arsenal found themselves 2-0 down in the first half, with the Gunners looking outmanned and outgunned up and down the pitch – leaving the majority of those in the Tavern feeling that a comeback was impossible.
Alex Iwobi tried to bring the game back into Arsenal’s hand with a second-half goal, but it wasn’t to be, and on the night – Arsenal came out as 2-1 losers.
In the context of the season, the draw could be vital, with Arsenal missing an opportunity to get 2 points closer to Chelsea at the top of the table – and don’t the Arsenal fans on Twitter know it.
The Arsenal faithful online erupted when the final whistle was blown, with a host of fans lamenting Arsene Wenger’s failed attempts at Premier League glory.
