It’s time for Conte to buy these 3 La Liga stars for Chelsea in January

The Chelsea supporters here in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely delighted with their teams start to life under Antonio Conte, with the Blues currently sitting in pole position at the top of the Premier League.

It was a difficult season for the Chelsea supporters to contend with during the last campaign, with the club missing out on European football altogether and Conte has been tasked with reviving the club’s fortunes.

Conte has taken to the Premier League with aplomb and his passion on the touchline is admirable, with all the Blues supporters who drink in the Tavern loving his style of management.

With a return to the top four the target for this season, Conte may look to go one better and win the title this season and a few additions to his squad could be in his thoughts for January.

Tavern writer Lee Clarke looks at three La Liga players who Conte should try to sign in next month’s transfer window.

Raphael Varane

The Real Madrid central defender is developing into one of the finest defensive players in world football and it is no secret that Conte is in the market for a new defender.

The Frenchman would be an amazing coup for Chelsea and with their defence already in good shape, his arrival would just be the icing on the cake.

One Chelsea fan is sat doing the crossword with a pint here in the Tavern and he thinks that Varane would be a quality signing, although he doubts whether a deal could be done next month.

Ignacio Camacho

The Malaga midfielder could be just the man to act as the lynchpin in the middle of the park for Chelsea, which allows their plethora of attacking talent to thrive.

Camacho is only 26-years-old and is unlikely to break the bank for the Blues, making his signing a decent one to consider.

One Blues follower is chatting to the landlord here in the Tavern and he think that Camacho’s all action style of play would make him a hit in the Premier League.

Diego Godin

Another central defender who could fit into the ethos that Conte believes in is Atletico Madrid man Godin.

A born-winner, the Uruguayan defender would be a quality signing for the Premier League and his nasty streak could compliment Chelsea’s current crop of defenders nicely.

One Chelsea fan is sat with a pint after a tough week at work and he thinks that Godin isn’t particularly a model professional, stating that he would soon learn to love him if he could secure the league title for the Blues.
