Daniel Sturridge has had a tough time of it so far this season under Jurgen Klopp – and it is showing no signs of improvement.

Despite appearing regularly under Brendan Rodgers, Sturridge has found his opportunities limited at Liverpool this year – and his current status is certainly not befitting of a player of his quality.

With Klopp often preferring Firmino up top in his place, Sturridge has largely played a bit-part role – and that has, inevitably, led to speculation in the Football Transfer Tavern that he could be set for an Anfield departure.

Whilst a few names have been passed around, the Arsenal fans have recently piped up and said that he would be perfect at the Emirates – and our landlord is inclined to agree.

So with that said, it’s time for Sturridge to join Arsenal, here’s THREE reasons why….

Arsenal Requirements

Arsenal have been struggling for offensive depth so far this season – and Sturridge could be a great fit.

For the last few seasons, the Gunners have been heavily reliant upon Olivier Giroud – and he has done well.

However, when fighting on all fronts you need more depth – and recent signing Lucas Perez has simply not provided that.

He has largely had a bit-part role so far this year, with the likes of Giroud and Sanchez forced into carrying the bulk of the load thus far.

Sturridge would give Wenger another option.

Goals

There is no doubt about it – no player in the Premier League is as prolific as Daniel Sturridge.

He always looks a threat, and whilst he has struggled recently – it can only be a matter of time before he is back to his best.

During his early days at Liverpool he was absolutely unstoppable – and Arsene Wenger could be the man to get the best out of him once again.

If Wenger wants goals – Sturridge is his man.

Opportunity

On a more personal note, Sturridge himself would likely want the move – as a transfer to Arsenal would afford him more opportunities.

Wenger knows a quality player when he sees one, and Sturridge is definitely of that ilk.

A partnership of Giroud and Sturridge is delighting our punters – and it is easy to see why.

Sturridge would undoubtedly be given the nod ahead of Perez at Arsenal – and he would relish that opportunity.
