It’s time for Koeman to give these 3 wonderkids a chance at Everton

Whilst Everton are going through a bit of a dour patch this season under Ronald Koeman, there is some good news for our Blues here in the Transfer Tavern.

Indeed, that comes in the form of the future of the club with the men from Goodison Park boasting some of the brightest young talents in the country on their books at the moment.

Whilst the likes of Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku are now household names and are still in their early 20’s the Toffees also have a number of other young players that really could make the cut very soon.

Their manager Ronald Koeman has already shown a willingness to play these young stars when needed this season, too, and our landlord now thinks it’s time they get a proper run in the side – with these three in particular on his mind…

Mason Holgate

Holgate was asked to deputise at right back earlier this season with Seamus Coleman injured and he did a fine job.

When young players are thrown into Premier League defences it is always the case that opposing teams try to really target them but Holgate took absolutely everything in his stride. The Toffees were flying at that point, too, and so maybe Koeman should consider bringing him back into the team in the near future.

Tyias Browning

Browning recovered from a lengthy injury lay-off earlier this season and now it shouldn’t be long until he has to be considered for a start.

Whilst Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams have formed a decent partnership they are both coming to the end of their careers and so Koeman needs to start bringing Browning in more. Our Toffees fans want to see him ahead of Ramiro Funes Mori and our landlord thinks that is where he belongs too.

Tom Davies

The young midfielder has been used sparingly so far by Ronald Koeman this season but he has looked at home in the Premier League.

Indeed, he is a local player to the city of Liverpool and so Everton fans naturally want to see more of him. There’s a good case for it, too, with Gareth Barry close to the end of his career there’s soon going to be a spot available for a new star and our landlord thinks it should be Davies.
