The Red Devils have looked poor this season, and it appears clear that Jose Mourinho has a lot of work to do.

There is a reason why Man Utd have struggled over the last few years, and it is quickly becoming apparent that their lack of success has not been down to David Moyes or Louis van Gaal – it is down to a lack of top-quality players within the squad.

This is something that Jose Mourinho will undoubtedly look to improve in January – and one league that he should definitely look towards is the Bundesliga.

Germany has been an emerging footballing superpower over the last few years, having won numerous international competitions – and there are a host of players within the country that would be fantastic in the Premier League.

With that said, it’s time for Mourinho to buy these 3 Bundesliga stars in January…

Niklas Sule

Man Utd’s defensive problems are clear for all to see – and Mourinho must invest heavily in the new year.

Niklas Sule would be a great option for him – and given that he is just 21-years-old; he could solve Mourinho’s problems long-term.

A towering central defender, Sule is unstoppable in the air and remains efficient with the ball at his feet. By all accounts – he is the perfect centre-half.

Despite his tender years, he has years of experience playing in the Bundesliga – and he looks like he is going from strength to strength.

Julian Draxler

Julain Draxler has been the subject of a host of debates in the Football Transfer Tavern in recent weeks, with many touting him for a big money Premier League move eventually.

Mourinho would be wise to look towards him in January as a means of solving his offensive issues – with the likes of Ibrahimovic, Rooney, Mkhitaryan and Lingard struggling this season.

Mourinho has had to rely on playing Marcus Rashford out of position this season, and the signing of Draxler would allow him to push the young Englishman into a more central role.

An explosive, technical attacking midfielder – Draxler is built for the Premier League.

Jonas Hector

To the confusion of everyone in the Football Transfer Tavern – Jose Mourinho seemingly doesn’t seem to rate Luke Shaw.

The Englishman has found his game time limited this season, and in truth – our landlord is expecting him to depart Old Trafford before too long.

Jonas Hector could be the perfect replacement for Shaw, in that he is very much the German equivalent. He is young, quick, technical and offensively-minded – and Mourinho would be wise to target him.

Losing Shaw would be disappointing, but Hector is a more than adequate replacement.
