The Man Utd fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are expecting a tough game against West Ham in the EFL Cup…
The Red Devils have been poor in the league as of late, and in truth – many of the Man Utd fans in the Tavern think that a cup run is the best that could come of this season.
Standing in their way in the EFL Cup is a tough test against West Ham, who themselves have been struggling too so far this season.
The game will, undoubtedly, be a difficult one – but with so much riding on it, Jose Mourinho simply must get his team selection right.
More specifically, our landlord thinks that Jose Mourinho should look to make a few changes to his side, with several of Man Utd’s players simply not performing well enough.
With that said, it’s time for Mourinho to drop these 2 Man Utd players against West Ham in the Cup…
Matteo Darmian

Darmian has been in and out of the team all season – but his recent performances on the left-hand side have simply not been good enough.
He was poor at the weekend, and with Luke Shaw watching on – the Man Utd fans in the Tavern cannot understand what Mourinho is thinking.
Darmian is a decent player, but he simply has not been up to par as of late – and Shaw could definitely do a better job, especially in such a high-profile clash.
Marcus Rashford

This one is harsh – because Marcus Rashford does not deserve to be dropped, per se. He hasn’t performed badly, but in truth – he hasn’t been his usual self as of late.
He shouldn’t be dropped because of poor performances, but rather – he should sit this one out so he can have a night off.
The young English forward has been working his socks off as of late, and you can tell by his recent performances that he could really do with a rest.
Jose Mourinho will have to toss up whether he deems the mid-week clash or next weekend’s Premier League game as more important; but either way – Rashford needs a night off sooner, rather than later.
