The Man Utd fans in the Tavern are expecting a very busy January…

Under Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils have seriously struggled – with a last minute equaliser coming from Everton over the weekend summing up Mourinho’s tenure so far.

There is a lot of work for the Portuguese boss to do – and not all of it is with regards to incoming players.

There are a host of players on the Man Utd books that, at present, have no place being there – and Mourinho simply must act.

A lot of the focus in that vein has focused on players that should be sold, but our landlord doesn’t think that the Man Utd boss should come to any quick decisions. Whilst certain players are struggling, many of them have real potential – and a January loan move could be best for business.

With that said, it’s time for Mourinho to loan out these 2 Man Utd players in January

 Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay has yet to make a Premier League start under Mourinho – and that signals how far he has fallen since his arrival.

He signed under Louis van Gaal and was expected to become the Premier League’s next big star – but it just hasn’t happened. He faltered under the Dutch boss, and with Mourinho – he has seen his game time reduce even further.

He looks lazy, out of form and out of his depth – and his time at Old Trafford is inevitably coming to an end.

However, given that he is just 22-years-old, there is still potential there – and a loan move might work out for the Dutchman.

A loan to a Premier League side could allow him to regain his confidence and get back to his best.

 Timothy Fosu-Mensah

Like Depay, Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a young player that is highly rated by the Man Utd fans in the Tavern – but Mourinho has yet to really utilise him.

At just 18-years-old, he simply needs to be playing regularly – and at Man Utd, he is not getting that.

He could do a real job in a lower league and then return next year ready to compete. At present, he is offering too little to warrant inclusion in the Man Utd squad.
