West Ham have endured a rollercoaster ride this season and the fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for major changes at the end of the campaign.

The Hammers’ transfer activity in recent seasons has been criticised by many and Slaven Bilic’s side are under pressure to improve on the transfer front this summer, as they eye recruits to bolster their squad ahead of a push for Europa League football next season.

Inevitably though players will also leave the London Stadium and our landlord has been discussing potential exits with punters in the bar, who have raised two names that they expect to be offloaded at the end of the season.

These departures would leave West Ham with holes to fill in their squad but the fans are confident they won’t be missed too much and they’re expecting capable replacements to be drafted in, which would leave West Ham’s squad looking stronger as a result.

Adrian

The Spanish stopper has been in-and-out of the first-team this season, with Slaven Bilic often selecting Darren Randolph ahead of him, and his contract situation is uncertain as it’s due to expire this summer- although speculation suggests a new one-year deal could be offered.

However, a number of Spanish sides are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Adrian this summer and West Ham have been linked to a number of goalkeeping additions in the close season, which would leave the Spaniard’s position within the squad under threat.

West Ham have struggled between the sticks this season so finding an upgrade on Adrian should be a priority, which would leave the Spaniard likely to leave.

Alvaro Arbeloa

Signing last summer but making just four appearances for West Ham since, Alvaro Arbeloa is tipped to leave in the summer and he’ll go down as another questionable signing from the Hammers’ recruitment drive.

The 34-year-old has been linked with a move to Swansea City, which would see him remain in the Premier League, and there’s seemingly no outcome that would see Arbeloa remain at the London Stadium- as he’s not featured since a 5-1 defeat to Arsenal in December.

The two-time Champions League winner avoided the club’s awards evening this month and his 12-month deal is due to expire imminently.
