Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting seeing what their side is going to do in the last days of the summer window.
The Citizens have been their usual busy selves in the market this summer with the likes of Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva arriving for big money.
For sure, then, they’ll be hoping that they help fire the club to the title but you feel as though the club is not finished just yet with a few days left in the market.
Who comes in, though, is anyone’s guess but we’re going to have some fun suggesting names anyway and we reckon Renato Sanches would be a top signing.
The dynamic Portuguese international has not had much luck in Munich for Bayern but that cannot cause people to start thinking he is a poor player.
Indeed, he still has all that talent that saw him help light up EURO 2016 and with the way he shifts through the gears in midfield he’d be a suitable replacement for Yaya Toure.
For all City’s creative magic in midfield they still need a box-to-box powerhouse to compete and with Toure coming towards the end of his career, throwing Sanches a lifeline could just be the shrewdest move of City’s summer.
