Manchester United: Fans rage as Red Devils are confident Borussia Dortmund want to sell Jadon Sancho

Manchester United are confident of completing a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, although many fans remain unconvinced.

According to the Evening Standard’s James Robson, as per @utdreport, Man United believe that Dortmund want to sell Sancho, who was the club’s top scorer last season. The Red Devils are reportedly growing in confidence as the Bundesliga challengers seem determined to keep the 11-cap England international in the news by any means necessary.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has strayed away from talking about his top transfer target this week while Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc insisted that a deal is dead in the water. Solskjaer has been chasing Sancho for some time now but talks between both clubs have stalled.

The Red Devils are doing their best to drive down Dortmund’s £108m demands for the right winger but the German club have shown no signs of changing their mind anytime soon. It seems as though one side will have to cede ground in order to break the deadlock.

Unsurprisingly loads of United fans slammed the “useless” transfer saga on social media, with several supporters tweeting that it is “embarrassing” and “ridiculous” that a deal is taking so long to sort out.

This has to be up there with one of the most draining transfer sagas we’ve had over recent years. Just killing any hype

Why do we take so long to sign a single player…

— costa (@gcosta____) August 13, 2020

This is ridiculous. Same old recycled nonsense, no further forward. Ed’s a clown, Dortmund are in no rush to sell. Embarrassing really. Fed up with whole situ ation.
