Sheffield United have been simply sensational under Chris Wilder in the current campaign, with automatic promotion to the Premier League well within their sights.

The Blades can’t be faulted this season as they’ve defied expectations once again to put themselves in a commanding position to secure promotion. However, it appears as if one of the club’s youngster has departed on loan, as according to Sheffield United’s official website, Jordan Hallam has joined Chesterfield on a one-month loan deal.

Chesterfield have today agreed a loan deal for Sheffield United striker Jordan Hallam.

The 20-year-old came through the academy and made his debut for the club in a 4-2 EFL Trophy win over Grimsby Town in November 2016.

And, he has been in fine form in the current campaign having netted eight times for United’s U23s.

So, a move to the Conference Premier will provide him with a big test and the platform to develop.

THE VERDICT:

The Blades may have found a long-term Billy Sharp replacement.

Sheffield United will be keen to see how the youngster fares out on loan as he could work his way into Chris Wilder’s plans by enjoying a successful loan spell.

Indeed,  striker will be desperate to make more appearances in the Blades’ first-team after a long absence, but this can only be achieved if he can ensure consistency in front of goal during his time at Chesterfield.
