Jose Fonte to Man United? Red Devils fans react to the proposed deal…

Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern were delighted with their side’s performance on the opening weekend, and they could have even more to cheer about before the transfer window comes to an end in a little over two weeks time.

He might not be the most high profile transfer of the summer, but Jose Mourinho’s interest in Southampton star Jose Fonte appears concrete.

He has been linked with a move for weeks, and after several weeks of silence on the move; it appears that the deal could happen once more.

The Telegraph are suggesting that Jose Fonte is flattered by the deal and would likely find it hard to turn down; whilst they also suggest that United are very keen to land him.

The news has received mixed reviews with the United faithful, with many feeling that he simply isn’t the player that The Red Devils need right now…
