Jose Mourinho should look to sign these 2 Portuguese players in January

It’s been a real uphill struggle for Manchester United at times this season and their supporters here in the Tavern have been a little unimpressed with how things have been going!

But thanks to a 3-1 win over Swansea City this weekend, they’ve somewhat settled and the international break has probably come around at the wrong time.

It would have been a good time for the Red Devils to pick up a bit of momentum and even the landlord wished they’d been able to carry on playing and he loves a bit of international footie!

But with internationals now upon us, we want to take a look and see if there are any Portuguese internationals that might be able to come in and do a job in Mourinho’s beleaguered looking Reds side.

So with that in mind, here’s TWO Portuguese internationals Jose Mourinho should be looking to sign in January…

William Carvalho

Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho is the first player on our list and we think he’d add much needed muscle and quality to this United midfield.

Ander Herrera has very much been the man relied upon this season in midfield and with Marouane Fellaini looking on his last legs, Carvalho would make a fantastic addition to this squad.

He’s big, powerful and moves the ball on fantastically well too.

Joao Mario

Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario is one of the most highly rated widemen around, and he’d be a great addition to this United squad.

At times, they’ve run out of ideas in the final third of the pitch and as we saw at the Euros, Mario would bring pace and a real directness to the United wing.

At just 23-years-old, he’s got years ahead of him to develop too, which means he’ll be a real prospect for the future as well as now.
