The rumours of Jose Mourinho to Manchester United are seemingly endless.
The Portuguese manager has been out of work since December, and Louis van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford is under scrutiny.
Van Gaal’s men have been accused of being very boring this season and missed the chance to enter the top four after losing to West Ham 3-2 in the last game at the Boleyn Ground.
Man United will surely be playing Europa League football next season, unless Manchester City lose to Swansea at the Liberty and United can get the better of Bournemouth.
Some of the world’s best managers will be in the Premier League next season including Arsene Wenger, Antonio Conte, Jurgen Klopp and perhaps The Special One.
The question is, despite playing in the Europa League, can the likes of Jose Mourinho and Old Trafford attract the world’s biggest stars to Manchester? If so, here is Mourinho’s DREAM starting 11 for next season…….

David De Gea
In a bleak season for the Red Devils, De Gea has been tremendous.
Everybody thought the Spaniard was leaving to go to Real Madrid but a mix up left De Gea at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old has been Manchester United player of the season for the last three seasons.
Mourinho will certainly be hoping to keep the Spanish star.
Ricardo Rodriguez
Swiss full back Rico Rodriguez has been linked with a move to Old Trafford many a time.
The 23-year-old has been incredible at the back for Wolfsburg this season in the Bundesliga.
Matteo Darmian has never managed to break into the United first team fully and Mourinho will certainly feel that Rodriguez is a better option.
Rodriguez is renowned for his speed and assists and could be an incredible signing for Mourinho.
Raphael Varane
Defenders don’t get much better than Varane.
The young Frenchman is only kept out of the Real Madrid side by world class centre backs, Sergio Ramos and Pepe.
Varane is great in the air and is strong, tough and composed.
The 22- year-old scored in El Clasico a few years ago, in a side managed by none other than Jose Mourinho.
Varane would be the perfect signing for any side.
Chris Smalling
One of United’s key players this season has been Chris Smalling.
The English centre back has been vital in United’s defence.
United have the second best defence in the league, largely due to De Gea and Smalling’s form.
Smalling and Varane could be the best centre back partnership since Vidic and Ferdinand.
Luke Shaw
Luke Shaw unfortunately suffered a horror injury earlier in the campaign which has ruled him out of action for the season, but the young full-back is a promising talent and next season could be his breakthrough year at Old Trafford.
After signing from Southampton, Shaw needs to have a good season especially considering he is bound to miss the Euros, if Shaw wants to break into the England side, he needs to step up next season.
Ander Herrera
Herrera has been a vital part of the United midfield over recent years.
Some people may not realise how important Herrera’s quality is, but if Mourinho wants to change his reputation from boring football to free flowing attacking football, then Ander Herrera would be a perfect player in his team.
Ilkay Gundogan
United missed out on signing wonder kid Renato Sanches to Bayern Munich, but Gundogan would be an incredible player for Man United.
Gundogan would bring experience and composure to the United team.
The German has been linked with Manchester City but Mourinho would love a player of Gundogan’s quality in his side.
Juan Mata
Juan Mata will be hoping more than anyone that Mourinho won’t be joining United this summer, after being completely forgotten by the Special One during his second tenure at Chelsea.
However Mourinho will hope that their touchy past can be forgotten as Mata is a vital part of the United side.
Wayne Rooney
Will Wayne Rooney finally get to play for Jose Mourinho?
Mourinho will want a leader with some experience in his side. Rooney was linked with a move to Mourinho’s Chelsea side on numerous occasions, perhaps he will finally play for Mourinho in the 2016/17 season.
Next season could in fact be the year that Rooney breaks the Manchester United goalscoring record.
Neymar
It looks unlikely but nothing is impossible nowadays.
United will reportedly spend around £150 million this summer and some punters here in the Tavern believe that Neymar alone, is worth every penny of that amount.
The Brazilian would be incredible in the Premier League, if Mourinho could attract Neymar to Old Trafford, the United fans would certainly be hoping to win their first league title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, Ferguson would have loved to have a player such as Neymar run his side.
Anthony Martial
“Fifty million down the drain, as Tony Martial scores again” has been heard ringing around Old Trafford many times this year.
The French youngster has been outstanding this season.
The 20-year-old has scored 11 goals in the league for the Red Devils this season and grabbed 3 assists too.
Martial has been exciting all season showing off his pace, agility and great attacking play.
Martial will face competition from Marcus Rashford but the Frenchman has been one of the greatest players in the Premier League this season.
Mourinho would surely love to have him in his side.
