Keep, axe or loan? The 3 players who just aren’t good enough for Arsenal anymore

What a strange old season it has been for Arsenal and their manager Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners look like they will be missing out on a Champions League place for the first time in two decades, and some of the angst between fans and players has been painful to watch.

This upcoming summer represents an important time for the Gunners, and the Arsenal fans this week here in the Tavern have been making plenty of noise and voicing their opinions around what needs to happen.

Our landlord has spent some time with them this week, keeping the peace and hearing out different fans’ claims, and he thinks Arsene Wenger could well be looking to move some of his players on.

With this in mind, here are THREE Arsenal players who could well be on the chopping block this summer…

Lucas Perez

A fairly obvious pick, but Perez has been very poor since making a big money move to the club in the summer.

A move back to Spain looks likely to be on the cards for the striker, and it might be best for all parties if he does decide to move on.

Theo Walcott

He might have been made captain at times, but Walcott for me is someone who has never seemed to deliver consistently for the Gunners.

A summer clear out could be on the cards, and Walcott might well be one of the more experienced heads who tops that list of players moving on.

Kieran Gibbs

Another Englishman but another player woefully out of form and touch this season.

Gibbs has been with Arsenal his entire career but his time could well be up soon, and Arsene Wenger could well look to cash on his left back at the end of the season.
