According to The Mirror, Everton have joined the race for the signature of Charlton Athletic’s young prodigy Ademola Lookman with our resident Toffees fans here in the Transfer Tavern hoping they can fend off some of the other clubs interested in him.
It’s believed that the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in the Addicks’ man and so there could be a real battle on for the club that eventually gets to sign him.
He did look as though he was going to head to Crystal Palace in the summer, the story reports, but that deal never went through but now it seems the men from The Valley are going to have to let him go in the very near future.
He scored twice at the weekend in the FA Cup as Charlton beat Scunthorpe United taking his tally for the season to five goals from 17 appearances in all competitions.
Lookman can play as either a striker or more predominantly a left winger.
