Everton cruised to victory over West Brom this weekend and their fans in the Tavern were more than happy with the Premier League result!

The Toffees easily beat Tony Pulis’ men 3-0 on the day and it was a strong showing from Ronald Koeman and his players, who will be looking to make the top-six come the end of the season.

They’ve been buzzing around that area of the table for sometime now and with the squad he has at his disposal, you’d expect Everton to continue pushing for both the coveted Champions League and Europa League places.

But with the murmurings here in the Tavern regarding Ronald Koeman and the Barcelona job over the past few days, supporters here in the Tavern have called for calm amongst other fans as the Toffees look to secure a place in Europe.

But who are the players that will get them there and who isn’t doing enough in the first-team right now?

With that in mind, here’s TWO players that simply must be axed by Koeman for the Premier League run-in…

Ademola Lookman

Young Ademola Lookman was dropped to the bench for the crunch tie against West Brom this weekend and it’s a decision that paid off with one of Everton’s best results of the season.

The youngster is well appreciated amongst fans here in the pub but if the Toffees are going to claim that coveted place in Europe, it’s going to call for team selection that knows how to win games.

There’s a time and a place to throw youngsters into the mix and right now, Everton need to make sure they’re getting wins, not risking it.

Ramiro Funes-Mori

Captain Phil Jagielka returned to the Everton side for the win over the Baggies and having him at the heart of the defence made the whole squad look stronger.

Funes Mori has done a fantastic job at times when called upon but there’s little doubting that on his day, England international Jagielka is more than good enough to keep the goals out for the Toffees.

He’s had some time away from the first-team after some poor early season form but Toffees fans here in the pub were happy to see him back and playing at his best again this weekend.
