Koeman’s Everton confident of multi-million forward deal in January

It’s been a good night for the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern, who are just oh so delighted to see their beloved Toffees record another win at long last.

Life under Ronald Koeman has been a mixed bag for the Merseyside club, who needed their win against Arsenal beyond belief.

Well, as happy as the Goodison Park faithful are right now, reports from the Independent have only widened their smiles.

They claim Everton are increasingly confident of securing an £11m deal for Charlton Athletic forward Ademola Lookman when the January transfer window opens in a few weeks.

Director of football Steve Walsh is understood to have identified the 19-year-old as a replacement for the crocked Yannick Bolasie, who is likely to miss up to a year with a serious injury.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are previously been reported to have cast keen eyes over the Addicks ace, while Crystal Palace and Celtic are said to remain interested.

One of the major problems is thought to be that Charlton want him back on loan, while Everton want the player signed, sealed and delivered as close to New Year’s Day as possible.

How much of a coup would this be for Everton? Let us know below…
