With John Terry coming to the end of his career and Gary Cahill looking out form, there has never been a better time for Chelsea to look to upgrade the centre of their defence.
The man touted with replacing the legendary blues skipper is Kalidou Koulibaly, with reports linking Chelsea with a move worth nearly £50 million.
Currently plying his trade in Italy with Napoli, Koulibaly is a strong, technically gifted central defender – particularly strong in the air but also decent with his feet. He is able to play on the left hand side of the central pairing, making him the perfect JT replacement for The Blues.
Chelsea fans have reacted well to news of a potential deal, with many feeling that he could be the perfect signing to solve Chelsea’s defensive woes.

Looks pretty unanimous amongst the Chelsea faithful! Their only concern is the price tag, but in a league where Paul Pogba is worth £100 million; £45 million for Kalidou Koulibaly looks par for the course.
