Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern were boosted last night as they saw Chelsea lose but Don Balon has a story that could well stop that good feeling dead.
That’s because, despite the Reds now being just five points off of the summit of the Premier League, the Spanish outlet is reporting that Barcelona are eyeing Jurgen Klopp as Luis Enrique’s replacement as manager.
The Catalan club have not had the season they would have wanted so far with them off the scintillating pace being set by Real Madrid and, despite still being able to reel them in, there seems to be murmurings change could be afoot.
And, much to the Reds’ dismay, Jurgen Klopp is apparently on the Catalan club’s short-list as their potential next man in the dugout at the Nou Camp.
The German has been at the Anfield side since 2015 and has largely been credited with the transformation that the club has undergone in the past year or so.
The Reds now play some of the best football in this country and our landlord can see why Barcelona might want him.
