Having overcome a bust-up with his own fans, his game has excelled to the next level and he now consistently performs for Inter, emerging as one of the best marksmen in Europe.
Icardi could have featured for either nation playing in the match on Tuesday, with the Spain vs Argentina betting odds having the hosts as slight favourites.
Manchester United brought in Romelu Lukaku last summer and the big Belgian forward has proven to be a brilliant acquisition at Old Trafford but just imagine a strike partnership of Lukaku and Icardi, there aren’t many better than that in the world, let alone the Premier League.
