Aston Villa fans are getting in a few rounds at the Transfer Tavern, wetting their whistles ahead of their side’s Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
The two sides kick off at 3pm and will be desperate to claim all three points for respective reasons; Villa find themselves in mid-table and need a win to avoid any chance of a last-minute relegation scrap, whilst Wednesday are currently sixth and want to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Veteran right-back Alan Hutton missed his side’s last Championship outing, a 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield, through injury but manager Steve Bruce has revealed he may be available for Sheffield Wednesday’s visit to Villa Park.
Press Conference: Steve Bruce – “Alan Hutton may join the squad. It’s too early for the rest of the injured lads. Alan is training today.” pic.twitter.com/76rg9rzsHM

Initially, that would appear to be a welcome boost for the Villans, considering their win-rate without Hutton this term stands at a miserly 8% (compared to 40%), but not every Villa fan in the Tavern and on Twitter is convinced he should be in the starting line-up for today’s big clash. Overall, the news has received a rather mixed response…
@AVFCOfficial Alan’s done well for a couple of games but Bree did well on Tuesday, and should start tomorrow
