Leeds fans on Twitter far from emotional over Ideguchi exit

Yosuke Ideguchi

Marcelo Bielsa has come to Leeds and turned things upside down. The Argentine has been superb so far, shifting players on and bringing in players that fit his own style of player. Now, another player looks to be cut loose by the ruthless gaffer, as Yosuke Ideguchi has supposedly been told he has no future at the club, according to The Yorkshire Evening Post.

Ideguchi signed for Leeds back in January, moving from Gamba Osaka to Yorkshire with Leeds United. However, he didn’t play a single game for Leeds before being loaned out to Spanish side Cultural Leonesa in the third tier of Spanish football. Any fans who expected Ideguchi tp tear it up in Spain was proved very wrong and now, after just seven months away from Gamba Osaka, he could be forced to return to his native Japan for first-team football.

The fans won’t be surprised to see Ideguchi dropped down the pecking order, especially seeing as they’ve got plenty of cover for the middle of their midfield. Lewis Baker has signed on loan whilst Adam Forshaw will be fit again soon and it’s unlikely that the 21-year-old Japanese midfielder would get into the team over either of those two. The youngster moved at the wrong time and missed out on a spot in Japan’s World Cup squad over the summer due to the fact he wasn’t playing enough football, however, he’ll be keen to leave Elland Road be in contention for 2022.

7 months and not learnt English, what does the lad expect, the whole club to learn Japanese

He had seven months to learn English, but didn't. Let him go if he doesn't care that much

What was point in signing him

As you can see, the fans are all baffled by the Ideguchi transfer and will be pleased to see the back of him this summer.
