Leeds United are supposedly close to completing the loan signing of Isaiah Brown from Chelsea, according to reputable Leeds journalist, Phil Hay on Twitter. The 21-year-old versatile attacker would be Leeds 3rd loan signing from Chelsea this summer and he would add depth to the club’s attack.
As is becoming clear, Leeds in the process of signing midfielder Izzy Brown from Chelsea on a season-long loan. Been in the pipeline for a little while now. He’s been back in training for a few weeks after a serious knee injury. #lufc

The Whites look to have got around the EFL’s loan rules well if they do pull of the signing of Brown on loan. The rules state that you cannot loan more than four players from the same club and that you can’t have more than two of them in the same matchday squad if they’re over 23. However, Brown is 21 and wouldn’t fall foul of the rule. Plus, his Championship experience with both Rotherham and Huddersfield would be very valuable.
The youngster is capable of playing anywhere in an attacking sense. He can be deployed as a lone striker, as a support striker, in attacking midfielder and on either flank and that sort of versatility would make him dangerous in the second tier. It also helps that he’s got promotion winning know-how, after he successfully navigated the playoffs with Huddersfield Town back in the 2016/17 season.

Quality loan signing and best part at the minute is he doesn’t even start. This squad is mental, can’t quite believe it!

The Leeds fans seem happy with this one and will be keen to get him back to full match fitness and amongst the goals as soon as possible.
