Leeds fans are loving life at the moment. The Whites have had a barn-storming first half of a season and sit at the top of the Championship having lost just five times in their 27 games. However, January reinforcements would only benefit them now, and with The Yorkshire Evening Post linking them with Swansea’s Daniel James, the fans aren’t sure.

Daniel James is a player who is enjoying his breakthrough season this campaign. At the age of just 21, Swansea’s relegation to the Championship has afforded him a chance to play first-team football for the club he joined five years ago from Hull City’s U18s, and he seems desperate to take his chance. Already this season he’s played 18 times and with 16 of those in the Championship, it’s clear he’s trusted.
Leeds United have had a few issues with their wingers. Jack Harrison may have scored in Leeds 2-0 win over Derby County on Friday evening but he’s seldom looked like a player who has the calibre to succeed at Elland Road. With that in mind, James could be a positive addition, if Marcelo Bielsa does sanction a move for him, seeing as he has the ability to play on both wings and through the middle, even if the fans aren’t entirely convinced.

The Whites aren’t convinced by Daniel James and want to see more of him before he signs if a deal does go through.
