Leeds United supporters have been making a lot of noise in recent times after seeing their team maintain their excellent start to the Championship season on Tuesday night.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men went into their meeting with lowly Preston North End at Elland Road having won four and drawn the other three of their opening seven league games, a run which propelled them to top spot in the table. And that is where the Yorkshire giants remain as a brace from Tyler Roberts alongside a Liam Cooper header sealed a routine 3-0 success for the Whites on Tuesday night, thus keeping them a point clear of second place Middlesbrough.
As such, there have been many thrilled Leeds fans up and down the country in recent times, several of whom have been reacting to a recent post from the club’s official Twitter handle, which states that five of Bielsa’s team made it into WhoScored’s Team of the Week.

Roberts, Cooper, Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling, and Barry Douglas were all named in the eleven based on their efforts in the midweek victory over Preston, although some Leeds fans took to Twitter to suggest that centre back Pontus Jansson should also have been named in the team.
The Sweden international has been a mainstay in the Leeds backline since his temporary move from Italian side Torino back in 2016, which he then made permanent a year later, with the 27-year-old appearing 86 times for the Yorkshire giants.
And after another commanding display in the heart of Bielsa’s backline to help them to a fourth clean sheet of the campaign on Tuesday, several Leeds fans were stunned to see Jansson fail to make their Team of the Week…
