Leeds United are currently 2nd in the Championship thanks to a massive win against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the early kick-off. Marcelo Bielsa’s side capitalised on a huge error late on against the Blades, winning 1-0 through a Pablo Hernandez goal. However, at halftime, the Whites were fuming at the referee, as inconsistent decisions looked to be hindering them in the first-half.

In the end, it was a mistake that gave them the win, but Leeds fans would have been blaming the draw on the mistakes of the referee had they not been gifted such a fortuitous winner by Dean Henderson at the death. The Blades’ ‘keeper had a mare as he gave the ball away to Jack Clarke, who had the simple job of squaring for Hernandez to tap into an empty net to give the Leeds a massive win.
However, things weren’t always looking so rosy in the clash and at times the travelling Leeds fans were left fuming at the ineptitude of the referee in charge of the game. It will come as no surprise to Leeds United fans that they’ve gone 58 games without being awarded a spot-kick, which has already got them fuming at the EFL and the FA, but then when they have games like yesterday where almost every decision is given against them, you can understand the frustration.
