Leeds: Fans upset with official club tweet

Leeds United really should have gone up last season.

They were top of the Championship at Christmas, which usually assures promotion, but they ended up only being able to finish in the play-offs. That didn’t end well either, as they ended up getting beat by Derby County and Frank Lampard. That meant they had to spend another season in the second tier.

Many would probably likely forget the previous campaign, but not the club’s official Twitter account, it seems. They decided to share Jack Harrison’s goal against Sheffield Wednesday, which put them 1-0 ahead – that was a year ago on Monday. Although it was a positive moment, what happened afterwards has tarnished many similar moments.

The club’s supporters have been reacting in their droves, and it seems many would rather not have watched this moment once again. They have been sharing their thoughts on social media platform Twitter, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
