Leeds United fans react to Casey’s proffessional contract

Leeds United announced yesterday that Oliver Casey has signed his first professional contract with the Yorkshire club. The 17-year-old has featured for both Leeds’ Under-18s and Under-23s at centre-back and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of other youngsters such as Ryan Edmondson in featuring in the first-team this season. It may seem a fair distance away, however, Leeds do have a track record of bringing young talent through to their first-team if they are deemed to have the talent, which is something Casey does have in his favour. The Leeds fan and academy player putting pen to paper on the deal has certainly got Leeds fans talking.

Baring in mind Pontus Jansson is currently injured alongside a whole host of other players, a few fans managed to find the funny side of it and they were also interested as to whether he could be available to fill in for the first-team.
