Leeds United: Fans react to Phil Hay’s revelation about Marcelo Bielsa’s future

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will remain at Elland Road next season if they are promoted to the Premier League, that is according to The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.

This comes after Eldesmarque recently reported that Spanish outfit Real Betis would like the Argentine to become their new manager in the summer.

Bielsa is currently enjoying his second season in the dugout at Elland Road and is doing extremely well with the Whites. Indeed they sit in second place in the Championship after 36 matches, five points clear of third placed Fulham (BBC Sport) and therefore in a great position to go up.

It is easy to see why Betis would be interested in securing the 64-year-old’s services, but it seems that he will not be leaving West Yorkshire if the club goes on to secure promotion to the top flight as he is emotionally invested in them.

Naturally most Leeds fans are absolutely delighted to hear that their manager won’t be going anywhere if they go up. Many of them have taken to Twitter to express how happy they are with the report, here is what some had to say…
