Whilst Leeds United fans were put through the wringer when watching their side come out as 5-4 victors against Birmingham City on Sunday afternoon, perhaps it could have been an easier ride for some of them if Kiko Casilla decided against making a catalogue of mistakes once again.
In what was an enthralling and mad 90 minutes of action (plus a significant amount of stoppage time), Marcelo Bielsa’s side managed to climb to the top of the Championship on goal difference ahead of their New Year’s Day encounter with West Bromwich Albion.
Whilst an own-goal gave them all three points in the dying moments of the game, it could have, perhaps, been avoided if Casilla had put in a better showing in between the sticks as he was, arguably, at fault for some of the goals they conceded – at least, to some of the fans on Twitter.
Many of them took to the social media outlet to vent their frustration with the veteran shot-stopper and slammed his performance, with some highlighting that he appeared to regress to the standard that he showed last season and left some concerned.

On a analytical note alioski seemed to have trouble all day. The marking at set pieces was abysmal, Casilla decision making woeful. Perhaps that’s the game to get it all out, reboot – as if we play like that against WBA they’ll kill us.
