A selection of Leeds United supporters have been voicing their concerns on social media, after reporter and commentator Bryn Law claimed that Liam Cooper will be out for the next four weeks through injury.

Cooper was forced off in the 34th minute of the Whites’ 1-0 victory over promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night, in what was the Scottish centre-back’s ninth start from a possible 10 this season (WhoScored).
The 28-year-old had not missed a minute in either of his previous second tier outings of the term, but joined Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw in watching the action from the sidelines after the midfield pair were ruled out with muscle and hamstring issues respectively ahead of kick-off (Leeds Live).
Jamie Shackleton also forced manager Marcelo Bielsa into a change against the Baggies, which Sky Sports (via Leeds Live) put down to a hamstring problem, although the Argentine would not be drawn into stating the severity of the youngster’s, or Cooper’s, issues after the game (Graham Smyth).
Law claimed he was informed after full-time that Cooper will be out for the next month with his injury, however, which would prevent the Kingston upon Hull-born centre-half from featuring in Leeds’ upcoming encounters with Millwall, Birmingham City, Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday.
It will also prevent the two-time Scotland international (TransferMarkt) from representing his country against Russia or San Marino in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers, having been called up by boss Steve Clarke earlier in the week.
Gaetano Berardi replaced Cooper against West Brom, and would end the night with one successful tackle from three attempts, three clearances and two interceptions, per WhoScored data.
Here are a few of the reactions shared to word that Cooper may be set for a month out…
Looked a painful one tbh, sort of injury that keeps a player out for a good while, knew instantly just hope we can cope without him, kind of concerned tbh

Will be a massive miss at Millwall on Saturday, fear for us in that one, especially against Matt Smith aswell

It’ll be a shame if it’s the full four weeks , he will miss the captaining us in the centenary match , guess Bill / Stu or Pablo will get that honour or even Berra

Glad there’s an international break then.
