Leeds United: Fans wax lyrical over Helder Costa’s recent display

Some Leeds United fans felt Helder Costa played a pivotal role in helping their side to beat off Hull City on Saturday afternoon as many of them took to Twitter to laud his performance.

The Whites managed to oversee The Tigers with ease as they put four past the relegation-threatened opponents in the day’s early kick-off and kept their own hopes of finishing atop of the Championship tree very much alive with the vital three points.

Costa may not have got himself on the scoresheet, however he did help Pablo Hernandez put his name on it with an assist that gave the Elland Road outfit their second of the game. The Portuguese winger did also appear to be rather influential on the pitch, which is perhaps why a number of the club’s faithful jumped straight onto social media to gush over his performance.

The 26-year-old had two of his four attempts on target, played two key passes, completed one dribble and managed to find a team-mate with 80% of the balls he played (per WhoScored).

As mentioned, fans had a number of glowing reactions they wanted to share regarding Costa’s recent display for Bielsa’s side, with some perhaps suggesting that he may have had his best game in the shirt for Leeds since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan last summer (Leeds’ official website).
