Leeds United could receive up to €75m (£64.5m) for Raphinha this summer amid links of a move to Arsenal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Lowdown: Arsenal rumours

Raphinha has been linked with a number of clubs over recent weeks, including Arsenal. Journalist Adria Soldevila revealed on Monday that the Brazilian is ‘very close’ to joining the Gunners, who want to ‘close the operation this week’.

A move to Barcelona doesn’t appear to be on the cards due to their financial issues, and Romano has now dropped a fresh twist on a potential fee involved.

The Latest: Romano’s latest twist

Romano took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to share an update on Raphinha. He claimed that Arsenal are in ‘direct negotiations’ with Leeds, while Chelsea and Tottenham have also made ‘contact’.

The transfer expert previously stated that Leeds want €55m (£47.2m) for the winger, something which left Whites podcaster Joe Wainman fuming, and other reports have even suggested the price could go as low as €50m (£43m), as the price tag seems to chop and change every week at the moment.

Romano now says that a fee could be around €65m-€75m.

The Verdict: More like it…

Some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs are seemingly keen on signing the 25-year-old, so Leeds should stand firm when it comes to their valuation and pray for a bidding war.

Selling Raphinha for €55m - as Romano previously suggested - may not have gone down well with several Leeds supporters, so receiving a fee in the region of the journalist's latest report would be a lot better.

It could be an important few weeks when it comes to Raphinha’s future, and those inside Elland Road may well be hoping all three of the name-checked London clubs make a move.
