Leeds United have reportedly signed teenage midfielder Charlie Crew from Cardiff City.
The Lowdown: Busy summer
The Whites have been proactive this summer both on and off the pitch, with six new first-team players brought in so far.
Rene Maric has joined as Jesse Marsch’s assistant, Ewan Sharp and Pierre Barrieu have arrived as first-team staff additions and Michael Skubala has taken over as under-21 head coach.
Skubala will work with academy signings Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins, and it looks as if another youth addition has been made by Elland Road officials.
The Latest: Leeds move for Crew
According to LUFC Youth on Twitter, the Whites have brought in 16-year-old Crew on a two-year scholarship deal.
The midfielder is set to initially link up with the under-18s at Thorp Arch.
The Verdict: Exciting signing
Crew is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also play as a centre-back and was labelled as a ‘real standout’ player at his age level by Wales Online.
He has been described as a player with an excellent range of passing and is technically unrivalled with the ball at his feet, so it looks as if Leeds may have landed a future star.

Hopefully the Wales youth international can continue to develop in Yorkshire and can earn a professional deal in 2024.
