Ezgjan Alioski has reportedly already agreed to join Galatasaray, but wants to wait until the end of the season for the deal to be announced.

The Lowdown: Alioski out of contract

The 29-year-old has been a good servant for the Whites, making 167 appearances and chipping in with 22 goals and 17 assists along the way.

Alioski is out of contract in the summer, however, and there has been almost no talk of him signing a new deal at Elland Road.

A move away has appeared to be a certainty, with a past report claiming that Galatasaray would snap him up once the season reaches its conclusion.

The Latest: Galatasaray move already sealed

That still appears to be the case, with Fotomac [via Sport Witness] stating that a deal has been agreed, but that it won't be announced just yet.

Alioski has asked Galatasaray to remain quiet for the time being, fearing that Leeds supporters will react negatively to the news, considering he is still currently a Whites player.

The Verdict: Time for Alioski to leave

Now is the right time for Alioski to enjoy a fresh challenge, with his seemingly imminent move to Turkey good for all parties.

At 29, he might not get any better as a player, so offering him a new deal makes little sense, especially as his performances have been erratic at times this season, leading to some criticism.

Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico continues to be linked with a move, and while he is a similar age to Alioski, he could represent a more reliable option, possessing World Cup experience with Argentina, making four appearances in the 2018 tournament, as well as Champions League showings with Ajax.
