Leeds United are interested in a summer move for Stade Brest midfielder Romain Faivre, according to L’Equipe [via Leeds Live].
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are enjoying a productive first season back in the Premier League, sitting 11th in the table and steering well clear of the relegation zone.
Leeds won’t want to rest on their laurels, however, with Bielsa no doubt keen to bring in summer reinforcements during the summer transfer window.
Leeds keen on Faivre signing
It is now claimed that Faivre is being eyed up by the Whites, having made 28 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring five goals and registering three assists.
Leeds are reportedly set to battle Bundesliga pair Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen for the 22-year-old’s signature, even though he only joined Brest a year ago.
It is stated that Faivre could cost as much as €20million (£17.1m), highlighting the attacking midfielder’s quality.
Transfer Tavern take
It is paramount that Bielsa continues to build his squad moving forward, ensuring Leeds are looking towards the European places rather than the bottom-three.
Faivre could be someone who brings more quality and guile in the final third, helping take the Whites to that next level.
