Leeds: Whites fans react as Meslier option to buy is reaffirmed

Leeds United are looking good in the Sky Bet Championship at the moment and are clearly a side capable of getting promoted by winning the title in the second tier.

They underlined their Premier League team-in waiting status on Monday night as they took on Arsenal in the FA Cup and ran them very close in the Emirates.

Indeed, it’s fair to suggest that they should have had the game close to won by half-time but they could not take their chances and instead slumped to a 1-0 defeat as the Gunners improved after the break.

Even so, the performance from the Whites was impressive and goalkeeper Ilan Meslier certainly did enough to catch the eye with his performance between the sticks and with his feet as he sprayed the ball around like a cultured midfielder.

Only ln loan after signing in the summer of 2019, Leeds fans might well be happy with a reminder from Graham Smyth that the club has an option to buy him from Lorient:
