Arsenal are on the cusp of huge change, with Arsene Wenger set to leave the club this summer. 

For the first time in over two decades, Arsenal will be on the hunt for a new manager, and it seems likely that more will change beyond just the manager. Indeed, you’d expect the squad that turns out in August next season will be very different to the squad that Wenger currently has at his disposal.

When considering who will leave Arsenal this season as part of an expected clearout, whoever is in charge must look at the form of the players who have been involved this season.

Unfortunately for Wenger, a handful of players simply haven’t been good enough this season. You could even argue that Wenger’s fall has been, in part, down to their poor form.

Here are just TWO of the several players who have seriously been poor this season…

Petr Cech

Petr Cech has been amongst Europe’s best for over a decade – but his reign is coming to an end.

The former Chelsea player has really struggled this season, and if Arsenal are to return to former glories, they need someone that they can rely upon between the sticks.

Not to mention, he’s already in his mid-30s. That alone is reason enough to move him on, but when you consider his poor form too, it’s time for the Gunners to think forward.

Calum Chambers

Calum Chambers has been given plenty of chances, and he’s a player that most are expecting, and have expected, to come good for quite some time. Despite this, though, he doesn’t seem to be improving.

The Englishman isn’t a regular at the Emirates, and that’s with good reason. Even with their defensive struggles, he doesn’t really deserve to play over anyone else.

Arsenal won’t win anything if Chambers is the main man in the defence.
