Manchester United continue to make good progress under Jose Mourinho, and despite not making as good a fist of making the top four as they would have hoped, the Red Devils fans here in the Tavern are still happy enough.
The Portuguese manager has managed to steady what was a very rocky ship after disappointing spells under David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal.
United look the part when everything clicks, and Mourinho has managed to keep the majority of his squad happy during the season, while also managing to get rid of a few players who simply weren’t doing it for the club.
Our landlord this week has been spending some time with the United fans over by the pool table, and they think that Mourinho will continue to clear out some of the dead wood this summer.
With this in mind, we have taken a look at THREE Man United players Mourinho should be looking to let go…
Wayne Rooney

The England international and record goal scorer for both club and country is a shadow of the player he once was, and his time at Old Trafford could well be coming to an end.
Mourinho is not a manager who is scared to make big decisions, and by getting rid of Rooney, he would be sending a big statement out to the rest of his squad.
Matteo Darmian

The Italian is someone who seems to have fallen out of favour at United under Jose, and his time could well be up with a move to Italy looking likely if he is to move.
Darmian has lost his place at right back to Antonio Valencia and while he has done little wrong, the Italian will not be willing to sit on the bench again next term, meaning Mourinho might well just get rid.
Marcos Rojo

The Argentine defender has improved this season, there is no doubt about that, but is he good enough to make Man United top challengers?
That is where the doubt creeps in with regards to Rojo, and Jose Mourinho could well look to move Rojo on and bring in a better replacement.
