Liverpool: Fans are loving ‘true warrior’ Harvey Elliott

Liverpool fans have found plenty to talk about despite their U19s side losing 4-1 to a resilient Benfica youth team. Indeed, an image (per the Daily Star) of prospect Harvey Elliott has been doing the rounds on social media and many Reds are loving it…

Elliott joined Liverpool in the summer of last year for an undisclosed fee and has already impressed. He made Premier League history by becoming the youngest ever player to feature in a league match at 16 years and 30 days (via JOE).

The 16-year-old Liverpool starlet has impressed fans and pundits such as Jamie Redknapp alike over the last few months with his calm displays alongside Jurgen Klopp’s first team. However, it wasn’t his performance on the ball that has got fans talking about him – after Elliott assisted Tyler Morton’s goal on Tuesday, the teenager clashed with 6’2 Benfica goalkeeper Leo Kokubo.

The winger was seen squaring up to the 19-year-old ‘keeper, which has got the fanbase talking. Many are praising his confidence, whilst others have labelled him a ‘legend’.
