Liverpool: Fans believe the club should grab the opportunity to sign Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli

Liverpool fans believe the club should take the opportunity to sign Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli after reports emerged that the Reds were monitoring the progress of him.

The 18-year-old was the Gunners’ first signing of the summer from the Brazilian side Ituano and said that he models his game on Juventus star and multiple-Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, as per BBC Sport. Martinelli has scored 10 goals in 21 appearances for the north London side during the current campaign and his run of form has turned the heads of the red half of Merseyside.

The Brazil U23 international, who is valued at £16.2m by TransferMarkt, bagged a brace in his side’s 5-5 draw with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup earlier this season and also scored during Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea. According to Football Insider, a Reds’ source has told them that the Liverpool recruitment team are tracking his progress following the significant impact he has made at the Emirates so far. Supporters believed that the club should grasp any opportunity to sign and made their feelings clear on social media.
